One of the hardest things for a girl with mixed race hair problems to do is give up straightening products that are harmful to her hair. Ever since I started treating my hair with Keratin, my love for products that have it in them has grown. Not all products that state they get rid of the frizz actually work or are made for black hair. Most are made for European type hair.

When I find products that are for my type of hair and are great, I have to shout about them. One of the new products I am in love with is the Keratin Rescue Treatment SOS by Shane O’ Sullivan. The products reminded me of when I was growing up, and I got my first relaxer in my neighbour’s house. She liked to play kitchen beautician and begged my grandmother to let her straighten my hair. That was the first time my hair blew in the wind.

The one thing about getting a Keratin treatment is that it never really gets the roots as a relaxer does. But this SOS Keratin Rescue treatment is close enough. It has been a while since my hair looked so good from a treatment. And the fact that you can do it at home is unbelievable, especially with the outcome. Great for our kitchen beautician diaries.

SOS is, a revolutionary at-home keratin treatment developed by Easilocks CEO and Celebrity Stylist Shane O’Sullivan. The SOS keratin rescue treatment is a first of its kind and users can now experience standard salon results for a fraction of the price in the comfort of their own home. I have spent about £150 getting these treatments in the salon. Now that I can do it at home, who needs a salon. The results are even better then what I have gotten done in the salon. It also did not strip my hair of the colour I apply every month.

Before

It is suitable for all hair types, this SOS Keratin Rescue Treatment is designed to erase extreme fizz from your locks and reduce your general styling time with results lasting up to 12 weeks. Gentle enough to preserve natural waves and curls, within 10 minutes, your tresses will rebuild and restore broken bonds while smoothing the hair cuticles. Hair will instantly feel silky smooth and more manageable.

“I am so excited and proud to introduce you to SOS. This treatment really is a game-changer for you and your hair care regime. We have been working on this for what feels like forever and trialled the final formula on over 100 hair types. The feedback and physical results were outstanding.”

The treatment works when the keratin treatment is applied evenly on to damp hair using the sponge applicator included, and users are then advised to leave the treatment on for 10 minutes. Once the treatment has been on for 10 minutes, the hair will need to be rinsed thoroughly and then blow-dried and styled as usual.

Keep the Frizz Away

To follow up after putting the treatment in, I also use their Rose Gold Oil by Easilocks. I love the smell of roses, so this oil smells great and gives my hair the moisture and love it needs before I put heat on it.

Rose Gold Oil by Easilocks

This revolutionary hair treatment oil is a genuinely great therapy for NATURAL HAIR and HAIR EXTENSIONS. With a carefully selected blend of several natural oils like Rose Oil, Carrot Oil, Chamomile Oil, Coconut Oil, Linseed Oil, Soybean Oil, Argan Oil, and Tahitensis Flower oil extract. That deeply penetrate, protect, nourish and repair your hair, creating fantastic hair shine and texture without adding weight resulting in silky smooth and easy to style the hair.

These two products are unbelievable. It has been 2 weeks since I put the treatment in it and my hair feels and looks fab. I have also coloured it, and my hair is not frizzy or dry and brittle from the colour. I am definitely a newfound fan of the Keratin Rescue Treatment by Shane O’ Sullivan, I literally can not believe the results.  Now some Keratin hair perfume to get rid of the curling iron smell.
