Stella McCartney is already hailed as oneof the fashion industry’s sustainable sweethearts. Raised on an organic farm, and a long-time vegetarian, McCartney’s specialty is ‘Responsible Luxury’. This ideology includes not using leather and fur – being ethical is fashionable. Her latest drop ‘Stellawear’ is innovative and sustainable, fitting her niche perfectly.

Stellawear, The New Basics

The range includes new multifunctional basics; McCartney combines lingerie and swimwear for a new take on undergarments at the beach. Five adaptable pieces are showcased; each can be worn in different ways– sticking with current trends of buying less and doing more with pieces. These pieces consist of a bodysuit, bandeau bra, cropped bra, briefs and a high-neck graphic bodysuit. Three colorways are available (red, pink and black), style for any occasion.

McCartney utilizes the technique of laser cutting to embellish the looks. This neatly creates delicate cut out sections on the basics, setting them apart from others on the market. These details merge the lines between modern swimwear and edgy lingerie.

Eco-friendly Shape-Wear For Everyone

Keeping to her eco-ethics, the garments are made from ecological warp-knit yarn. This protects the skin against UV rays, whilst also being chlorine and saltwater safe. The fabric is also quick-drying and body-sculpting too. McCartney always has the customer in mind – previously stating to Vogue It’s not about what it looks like in the studio or on the runway, it’s what it looks like on a real person that matters. That isn’t easy, but it’s what’s fun.’
