Sneakers on screen: From Michael Jordan's The Last Dance to Top Boy and Uncut Gems

Netflix dropped the hotly anticipated Michael Jordan docu-series 'The Last Dance' last Sunday, and my Sneaker What' sAp group was on fire.  The resale market is hurting so all we can do is put on our kicks and put our feet-up.

So why not refresh your memory on how this sneaker freak game started. Can you identify the iconic footwear featured in the movies? StockX, the World's first 'Stock Market of Things', has compiled the ultimate list of shows and films to keep sneaker and streetwear fans entertained on lockdown. From Uma Thurman's Onitsuka Tiger in Kill Bill to Forrest Gump's Nike Cortez trainers, TV and films have long been a source of style inspiration.

The Last Dance has already had an impact on the resale market. Jordan Brand orders on StockX spiked by 90% on Sunday, and the platform saw a 63% increase in searches for Jordan Brand as the docu-series went live.

Yes, my stock just went back up. I have been sitting on all my cops.  Cause you have to know when to hold them, so I am currently watching the market and now watching sneaker classics on screen. Not a bad life to have at the moment with my Saci's on and nowhere else to go.

Best for the sports-obsessed: The Last Dance

Hot off the press, Netflix has dropped the first two episodes of a ten-part documentary series on the legend that is Michael Jordan. With never-seen-before footage, the show follows the Chicago Bulls' final title run in the 1997-98 NBA season and features a host of iconic footwear worn by the man himself.

Only 89 pairs were produced as a limited run in 2016. Now, each pair is worth around £24,831.
